Make a start
One step at a time.
3 steps
Start with the synthetic worked example or other non-sensitive inputs. Run one prompt at a time in your chosen AI tool. Replace any bracketed placeholders with the requested material, check each reply, and supply the source or earlier outputs that step needs. Paste them again if the tool lacks that context.
Start with the synthetic example, then adapt each prompt to your task.
01
Try the complete example
Open a text AI chat you already have permission to use. Paste the whole prompt below, from TASK through END INPUT, and send it. The input is source material; do not paste the illustrative Output as an answer to imitate. Expect A cue-linked movement and prop-handoff sheet with a text coordinate key and an actor-presence ledger. If you receive advice instead of the result, ask for the complete requested result from the supplied input.
Your starting prompt
TASK
Turn the complete scene into a cue-linked blocking proposal, meaning a plan for where actors move. Return the coordinate key, every spoken line unchanged, necessary movement cues and an actor-presence/prop-holder ledger after every cue. Preserve all constraints and label actual spacing and rehearsal as unperformed human gates.
INPUT
Complete original scene for two adults. Use fictional role tokens A and B, not real personnel data. Stage marks in a not-to-scale coordinate sketch: L=(-2,0), C=(0,0), R=(2,0). Units are abstract, not metres; entrances are L and R. Audience is toward negative y. C means a centre playing zone, not an instruction for two bodies to occupy one physical point. Actual spacing and sightlines are unverified.
A starts onstage at L holding one paper envelope. B enters from R before saying “Is that for me?” A replies “Only if you read it here.” A gives B the envelope at C. B says “Then I will stay.” Both end at C. No extra dialogue, props, darkness or stunts. Add only the movements needed to realize this sequence. Supply a numbered cue script, after-cue actor/prop ledger and an unperformed rehearsal check.
END INPUT
02
Check and correct
Read the three exact lines in order. B must enter before the first line. Trace the single envelope through the proposed cues: A holds it until the handoff, both actors are in C for that handoff, and B holds it afterward through the ending. Match the ledger to the actual cue numbering; a different valid grouping of movement cues is allowed. C is a zone, not a claim of physical fit. Walk the proposal with adults in the actual space before accepting paths, handoff or sightlines. Compare with the unchanged source yourself. If anything differs, use the correction prompt, then recheck the complete replacement before saving.
Your starting prompt
Check the answer in this sample chat against the complete INPUT above. Quote each mismatch and its source, then return a complete corrected replacement. If source or answer is missing, ask for it. Do not describe a suggested human trial as completed.
03
Use your own source instead
Open a new chat and copy the prompt below. Replace every bracketed field with your own permitted non-sensitive material, or write unknown. Change the source names, counts, dates and rules together wherever they occur. Expect a complete result using those new values. Compare each source link and calculation with your new input, using the review instructions in this prompt. If a fact or rule is wrong, quote the mismatch and source and ask for a complete corrected replacement; keep essential unknowns held rather than borrowing the practice values.
Your starting prompt
Create a text-only rehearsal blocking proposal for my complete original or authorized scene. Define all stage-position labels from my source, preserve dialogue verbatim and add only permitted movement. Number cues and return an after-cue ledger for each actor’s presence/position and each prop’s holder. Check entrances before speech, plausible movement order, shared presence for every handoff, prop conservation and the required final state. Hold missing spatial information. Treat shared marks as zones needing distinct real positions; provide an unperformed slow human walk-through for actual spacing, comfort and sightlines. Do not claim a rendered stage plan, physical fit or completed rehearsal.
MY INPUT
Complete owned scene and exact cue lines: [replace with your source or rule]
Entrances and named stage marks: [replace with your source or rule]
Starting actor/prop state: [replace with your source or rule]
Required handoffs and ending state: [replace with your source or rule]
Excluded unsafe actions: [replace with your source or rule]
Use only MY INPUT for facts, quantities, names, dates and permissions. Ask for missing essential facts or conflicting rules instead of guessing. Creative invention is allowed only where this task and my boundaries permit it. Return the actual complete requested result, a separate unknown/hold list and the source-specific review described above. Do not reuse practice-example facts. Keep this a draft; do not publish, contact people, book, buy or change another service.
Optional: improve the result
Make a rehearsal blank
Optional, sample-only extension. Return to the practice chat, or paste this guide’s complete practice input and your checked answer into a new chat. Give people a place to record a real trial without inventing observations. This does not apply unchanged to your own source.
Advanced prompt
From the checked sample answer’s complete cue list, make a blank rehearsal note sheet with one row per cue and fields for actual positions, handoff visibility, comfort issue and agreed revision. Leave observation fields blank. Keep all source dialogue and prop rules fixed. If the complete sample input or answer is missing, ask me to paste it. Keep new variants separate from the original result.

Synthetic input
COMPLETE SYNTHETIC PRACTICE INPUT
Copies text only. For image or file tasks, use the source files named in the steps too.
ILLUSTRATIVE AUTHORED OUTPUT
Written for this guide; no consumer AI execution or real-world trial is claimed.
POSITION KEY, TEXT ONLY
L (-2,0): left entrance/mark. C (0,0): shared centre playing zone. R (2,0): right entrance/mark. Audience toward negative y. These are orientation references, not verified floor measurements.
CUE SCRIPT
0. Preset: A at L, holding the envelope. B offstage at R entrance.
1. B enters to R; A remains L.
2. B at R: “Is that for me?”
3. A at L: “Only if you read it here.”
4. A moves L → C, still holding the envelope. B waits at R.
5. B moves R → C; A waits in C. Set two distinct, comfortable positions within the centre zone during rehearsal.
6. At C, A gives the single envelope to B; B receives it. No line added.
7. B at C, holding the envelope: “Then I will stay.” Both remain in the centre zone. End.
STATE AFTER EACH CUE
Cue | A | B | Envelope holder
0 | L, onstage | offstage R | A
1 | L, onstage | R, onstage | A
2 | L, onstage | R, onstage | A
3 | L, onstage | R, onstage | A
4 | C, onstage | R, onstage | A
5 | C, onstage | C, onstage | A
6 | C, onstage | C, onstage | B
7 | C, onstage | C, onstage | B
No envelope appears twice or changes holder before both actors are at C. B’s first line follows the entrance. Dialogue order and wording are unchanged.
UNPERFORMED HUMAN GATE
Two adults should walk the cues slowly with an empty paper envelope in the actual space. Agree comfortable separate spots in C, clear paths and a visible handoff; stop if space, reach or comfort is unsuitable. Check from the audience side that bodies do not unintentionally hide the exchange. Revise positions while preserving the scene facts. No physical fit, accessibility, sightline or successful rehearsal has been established.
These checks use the worked example and its particular facts. With your own material, check your actual names, numbers, sources and rules; do not reuse the sample’s values as the answer.
Unsaved checks stay in this tab and reset when you reload. If you choose Save guide, its current example checkmarks are kept in this browser when storage is available.
!
A few things to watch for.
Abstract coordinates can conceal a collision or cramped handoff. Establish separate real positions during a slow human trial.
A written movement ledger does not prove a rehearsal happened. Keep the physical gate explicit.
