Make a start

One step at a time.

2 steps

Start with the synthetic worked example or other non-sensitive inputs. Run one prompt at a time in your chosen AI tool. Replace any bracketed placeholders with the requested material, check each reply, and supply the source or earlier outputs that step needs. Paste them again if the tool lacks that context.

Start with the synthetic example, then adapt each prompt to your task.

01

Try the complete example

Open a text AI chat you already have permission to use. Paste the whole prompt below, from TASK through END INPUT, and send it. The input is source material; do not paste the illustrative Output as an answer to imitate. Expect A short optional group activity with concrete prompts, a no-explanation pass and clear completion rules. If you receive advice instead of the result, ask for the complete requested result from the supplied input. Check it yourself: Every prompt can be answered using invented details; no personal history, relationship, health or identity disclosure is required. Six optional shares of up to 30 seconds allow at most three minutes; the complete plan must fit within the eight-minute maximum. A shorter plan is valid and no one must fill unused time. A pass needs no explanation and has no penalty; private sheets are not collected or photographed. Completion does not depend on universal sharing. If a check fails, quote the mismatch and its source in this chat and ask for a complete corrected replacement before saving.

Your starting prompt
TASK
Write the complete short adult icebreaker with exact timing, host wording, a one-minute solo prompt, optional share slots, two invented example answers, a no-explanation pass and clear ending. Preserve every low-disclosure boundary. Do not infer participant traits or claim it has been run.

INPUT
Fictional six-adult paper club. Maximum activity time 8 minutes, one sheet and pen per person. Goal: share imagined creative choices if people wish, without collecting profiles or personal history. Prompt: invent an impossible bookshop using one place, one object and one surprising rule. No need to explain what a choice says about its maker.
Speaking and showing the sheet are optional. Anyone may pass or observe without explanation, with no scoring, lost turn or other penalty. Provide a one-minute solo prompt, six optional shares of up to 30 seconds each, clear setup/closing and original invented example answers. Any unused sharing time may become quiet drawing; never ask someone to fill a passed slot. Do not guarantee inclusion, enjoyment or learning about personalities. No participant names or details required.

Use your own source instead

Open a new chat and copy the prompt below. Replace every bracketed field with your own permitted non-sensitive material, or write unknown. Change the source names, counts, dates and rules together wherever they occur. Expect a complete result using those new values. Compare each source link and calculation with your new input, using the review instructions in this prompt. If a fact or rule is wrong, quote the mismatch and source and ask for a complete corrected replacement; keep essential unknowns held rather than borrowing the practice values.

Your starting prompt
Create a short optional icebreaker for my adult group, using my time limit, materials, activity goal and low-disclosure boundaries. Provide complete host wording, an inventive solo prompt, optional participation alternatives, share timing derived from the group count and a clear ending. Every prompt must be answerable without personal history. Make a no-explanation, no-penalty pass usable at every participation point, and do not infer personality or collect profiles. Check total maximum time, optional share capacity and every prompt’s disclosure demands against MY INPUT. Keep timing a proposal and do not guarantee comfort or enjoyment.

MY INPUT
Adult group size: [replace with your source or rule]
Time: [replace with your source or rule]
Available materials: [replace with your source or rule]
Low-disclosure boundary: [replace with your source or rule]
Participation alternatives: [replace with your source or rule]
Activity goal: [replace with your source or rule]

Use only MY INPUT for facts, quantities, names, dates and permissions. Ask for missing essential facts or conflicting rules instead of guessing. Creative invention is allowed only where this task and my boundaries permit it. Return the actual complete requested result, a separate unknown/hold list and the source-specific review described above. Do not reuse practice-example facts. Keep this a draft; do not publish, contact people, book, buy or change another service.
Optional: improve the result

Make a silent version

Optional, sample-only extension. Return to the practice chat, or paste this guide’s complete practice input and your checked answer into a new chat. Keep the same creative task without requiring spoken sharing. This does not apply unchanged to your own source.

Advanced prompt
For the six-adult sample, replace the optional spoken-share block with three minutes of private writing or drawing. Any showing of sheets stays optional and uncollected. Return the full revised eight-minute plan and preserve the no-explanation observation/pass route. If the complete sample input or answer is missing, ask me to paste it. Keep new variants separate from the original result.
Show, then try

Illustrative output
ILLUSTRATIVE AUTHORED OUTPUT
Written for this guide; no consumer AI execution or real-world trial is claimed.

THE IMPOSSIBLE BOOKSHOP — UP TO EIGHT MINUTES
0:00–1:00, setup. Host says: “Invent an impossible bookshop with one place, one object and one surprising rule. You can write, draw, think quietly or simply observe. Sharing and showing your sheet are optional. You may pass without explaining, and we will move on without a penalty. You do not need to tell us anything about your life.”
1:00–2:00, one-minute solo time. Prompt: “Where is your invented shop? What object belongs there? What surprising rule does it follow?” All three answers may be completely fictional.
2:00–5:00, up to six optional shares, at most 30 seconds each. Host invitation: “If you would like, share one or all of your invented details, show the sheet, or pass.” Accept a pass with “Of course” and move on. Unused time can be quiet drawing; no one must fill it. Do not ask why a choice is personal or meaningful.
5:00–6:00, optional quiet addition. Add one invented detail to your own sheet, or continue observing. No new sharing round is required.
6:00–7:00, optional looking. People may show their own sheet only if they wish; everyone may keep it private. Do not collect or photograph sheets.
7:00–8:00, closing and transition. Host says: “That is the end of our bookshop exercise. Keep your sheet, change it, or leave it private. We can take that freedom to invent into our paper-club activity.” Finish earlier if appropriate; eight minutes is a maximum, not an obligation to fill silence.

INVENTED EXAMPLES, NOT PARTICIPANT PREDICTIONS
1. Place: inside a cloud. Object: a ladder made of bookmarks. Rule: every book may choose a different shelf each morning.
2. Place: under an imaginary hill. Object: a teacup large enough to sit in. Rule: titles are arranged by the sound of invented words.

COMPLETION AND REVIEW
The activity ends at the closing, not when everyone has disclosed or performed. Maximum planned time: 1+1+3+1+1+1=8 minutes; sharing allowance 6×30 seconds=3 minutes. Passing has no explanation, score or lost opportunity attached. All prompts can be answered through invention. No profile, attendance record or claim of guaranteed comfort is created.

You’re the final check

Check the worked example.

These checks use the worked example and its particular facts. With your own material, check your actual names, numbers, sources and rules; do not reuse the sample’s values as the answer.

Unsaved checks stay in this tab and reset when you reload. If you choose Save guide, its current example checkmarks are kept in this browser when storage is available.

A few things to watch for.

  • “You may pass, but tell us why” is not a genuine no-explanation pass. Remove the follow-up demand.
  • Imagined choices are creative contributions, not evidence of someone’s personality or background. Do not turn them into profiles.
