What you’re working towards
Produce one worked example, one partially completed example and one independent attempt with separate answers. The worked result is a written example for practice; the AI steps have not been tested.
Your choice also saves this guide’s current worked-example checkmarks. Only this browser; no account or sync. View saved guides

Make a start
One step at a time.
3 steps
Start with the synthetic worked example or other non-sensitive inputs. Run one prompt at a time in your chosen AI tool. Replace any bracketed placeholders with the requested material, check each reply, and supply the source or earlier outputs that step needs. Paste them again if the tool lacks that context.
Start with the synthetic example, then adapt each prompt to your task.
01
Open a chat and paste the example
Open https://chatgpt.com and choose New chat. Copy every line under Input in this guide into the message box. Then add the prompt below (the instructions telling the assistant what to do) and send both together. Expect a written response shaped like the example under Output. The wording may differ. If the assistant asks for information already in the input, point to that line; if a necessary fact is missing, keep it unknown rather than guessing.
Your starting prompt
Create the three-stage practice sheet exactly as specified in the full input above. Work A completely, leave only the final sum blank in B, and leave C independent. Put B/C answers in a separate last section. Keep the supplied order, dimensions, formula and centimetre units; do not teach area.
02
Check the specific result
Check the assistance level decreases across A, B and C. Independently verify 22 cm, 18 cm and 20 cm. The answers for B/C must not appear in their practice blanks, and no squared units should appear. Compare it with the Input yourself. If the response fails a check, paste the correction prompt below into the same chat. Recheck the corrected version before saving it.
Your starting prompt
Audit the practice sheet against the requested help level for each problem. Restore missing blanks or remove prematurely shown answers. Recalculate 22, 18 and 20 cm and keep B/C solutions only in the final answer section.
03
Try it with your own example
Open a new chat. Copy the prompt below, then replace [PASTE YOUR INPUT HERE] with your own non-sensitive facts and rules. Include the kinds of details listed under Requirements. Send the whole message. Expect the same kind of result as this guide, using your values. Compare every name, number and rule with your input. If something differs, point to the exact mismatch and ask for a corrected complete answer. Save only a version you have checked.
Your starting prompt
Make a practice sheet from the problems, method and help levels I supply below. For each problem, show only the requested help, preserve its labels, numbers, units and order, and leave the requested work blank. Put answers in a separate final section. If the method or help level is missing, ask instead of choosing it.
Use only the new input below. If a fact needed to finish is missing, ask me for it before choosing an answer.
MY INPUT
[PASTE YOUR INPUT HERE]
Optional: improve the result
Adapt support to the learner’s actual attempt
Use a submitted attempt to decide whether to restore one step of help. This extension uses the worked example. Return to that example chat, or paste its input and your checked example answer into a new chat first. Do not apply its sample values unchanged to your own input.
Advanced prompt
Learner attempt for C: “6 + 4 = 10 cm.” Identify the missing part of the supplied perimeter rule. Give one partially completed setup for C, leaving the arithmetic for the learner; do not reveal the final answer again.
Show, then try
See the shape of the result.
This input is synthetic. The output is a written illustration of the intended result, not a verified AI-tool run.
01 / The starting point
Synthetic input
Made-up example for practice.
Made-up adult math practice. Rule supplied by the lesson: a rectangle’s perimeter is 2 × length + 2 × width; all lengths below are in centimetres, so perimeter is in centimetres. Problems in order: A, length 8 and width 3; B, length 7 and width 2; C, length 6 and width 4. Provide A fully worked, B with the two doubled terms shown but the final sum blank, and C with only the dimensions and a blank workspace. Put B and C answers in a separate final section. This is gradual practice: remove some help at each stage. Do not introduce area.
Copies text only. For image or file tasks, use the source files named in the steps too.
Written example for practice; not a recorded AI response.
A. Fully worked
Perimeter = 2 × 8 + 2 × 3 = 16 + 6 = 22 cm.
B. Finish the last step
Perimeter = 2 × 7 + 2 × 2 = 14 + 4 = ____ cm.
C. Try independently
Length 6 cm; width 4 cm.
My calculation: ____________________
My perimeter: ____ cm.
Stop here and try B and C before reading the answers.
Answers
B: 14 + 4 = 18 cm.
C: 2 × 6 + 2 × 4 = 12 + 8 = 20 cm.
The support decreases from a full worked example to one missing step to an independent calculation. All three use perimeter, not area.
These checks use the worked example and its particular facts. With your own material, check your actual names, numbers, sources and rules; do not reuse the sample’s values as the answer.
Unsaved checks stay in this tab and reset when you reload. If you choose Save guide, its current example checkmarks are kept in this browser when storage is available.
!
A few things to watch for.
Changing problem difficulty and help level at the same time can hide what the learner needs. Keep examples comparable.
A completed sheet does not prove understanding; try the independent problem before viewing the answer.
